The Sprout Film Festival is being held on September 15th at the new Arc Park in Springfield. The films being showcased are designed to celebrate the talent and creativity of filmmakers with disabilities. Below is 5 reasons why you should support the disability community & attend this event!
1. Explore films by and about People with Disabilities
Discover the captivating world of films written, directed, and starring individuals with disabilities. Sproutflix, founded in 2009, offers a vast collection of over 280 titles on its website, featuring people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This platform aims to provide accurate portrayals, break down stereotypes, and foster greater acceptance and awareness of the disability community. 3. Support the BWOLF Program at full access
All proceeds from the films festival go towards supporting the Better Way of Living Fund (BWOLF) at Full Access, a non-profit organization in Lane County. Full Access empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing access to state-funded resources like attendant care, transportation, assistive technology, and more. The BWOLF program utilizes donated funds to assist clients during emergencies, helping them overcome challenges like houselessness, food insecurity, or natural disasters. One hundred percent of your generous contributions go to individuals with disabilities. These funds make a significant impact on the lives of Full Access clients, empowering them to live the lives they choose and be active participants in our beautiful community.

The Arc of Lane County is diligently working on a magical and inclusive park designed for children of every ability. This incredible local organization provides a wide range of wonderful programs for kids, teenagers, and adults with disabilities.
